Sincerely Valentine makes sure that your personal information is protected when you are using our services. That is why we have a privacy policy which declares how your personal information is being used and protected. Any changes in this policy can be found here. (Last updated May 22, 2018) This policy only applies to the services of Sincerely Valentine; by using our webshop you agree to this policy.

We respect the privacy of all our customers and webshop users. 


What information is gathered by us?

We collect and may use the personal information you supply us with, for example when you place an order or contact our customer service. Like for instance your contact information, we need this in order to be of service. This involves NAW data, e-mail addresses and phonenumbers (not likely but sometimes).

How do we use your personal information?

 We could use your information to:
* Create and maintain your personal account at Sincerely Valentine
* Process your orders (example: sending out your order)
* Contact you about your order
* Answer your questions and inform you about news and/of changes in our services
* Give you marketing information, like sending a newsletter (you will not get this automatically, you need to register for it in order to receive it)
* Send you questionnaires which give you the opportunity to make yourself heard about our services and offers
* Test and improve the systems we use for our services
* Stop misuse and improper use of our services

We won't store your information longer as necessary to carry out our services or as we are obliged by law. (example: we need to store orders for 7 years due to accountancy rules) After that your personal data is being removed. Your account will maintain untill you yourself contact us that you want it removed. Or untill we conclude it is a false account.

What are your rights?

You have the right to enquire information about the personal information we store for you. If this information is incorrect, incomplete or not applicable to you; you can ask us to change or remove the information. We can not delete the information when it is a legal storage obligation, like rules concerning accountancy or any other legal reasons to store this kind of information. Our contactinformation is below, we will oblige to your request or question within 1 week (mostly sooner)
You can withdraw your permission to use your information for marketing purposes (like for example a newsletter) at any time. At the bottom of each mailing is a link to unsubscribe. This will take effect immediately.

Who has access to your information?

We will never send/ sell/ trade your information to a third party for marketing usage outside Sincerely Valentine. Information that is send to a third party will only be used to provided the services mentioned above. Like to the shipping agency (MyParcel) to send your order out, paying for your order (Mollie) and sending out the newsletter through MailChimp Newsletter. We make use of servers inside Belgium to run the webshop.
With a payment through Mollie your data is being processed so that your payment can be connected to your order. Mollie processes the following information: IP address, your bankdata (bankaccount number, creditcard number), your internetbrowser and type of device being used. In some cases also your name and ordernumber, so that a payment can be connected to your order. Without this an order either can't be paid or can't be processed. 
MyParcel only has your NAW data and e-mail address. The NAW data to deliver your parcel, the e-mail so an tracking e-mail can be send to you. Other information (like your phonenumber) will not be given to MyParcel, unless you yourself asks us to. 
MailChimp only uses your e-mail address and the language the shop was in when you registered for the newsletter.

How do we protect your personal information?
We have taken technical and organizational measures to protect your information getting lost, manipulated, getting into the wrong hands etc. We are constantly upgrading our safety measures. We encrypt all (creditcard)payments and other data that is being transmited through the webshop, which makes sure external parties can't get or see your information. We have an SSL certificate to encrypt all information send to and from our webshop.

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer or mobile device and gets activated with your next visits to the site/ shop. Sincerely Valentine uses cookies to make your visit to our shop easier and to let the shop work properly. We do not use cookies to store your personal information or give information to third parties. Your personal information is stored in your own account. 
There are two kinds of cookies: permanent and temporary ones (session cookies) Permanent ones are stored up to a year as a file on your computer or mobile device for a maximum of 12 months. Session cookies are stored temporary and are deleted once you close your browser window.
We use permanent cookies if you choose the option "Remember my information" when you log in. We use session cookies if you use the selection options and to check if you are logged in or placing an item in your shopping basket.

Cookies can be easily deleted from your computer or mobile device. You are free to choose to turn off cookies, but please keep in mind that this effects your using of our webshop (not everything will work like putting items in your basket)

Third party cookies
We use third party cookies to gather statistic data like Google Analytics. This involves both kinds of cookies. The permanent ones are stored a maximum of two years on your computer or mobile device.
